Former Director of Volta Regional Museum, Ho

2007 - A new time for Volta Regional Museum. An agreement between the (at this time) Director of the Volta Regional Museum (Director for the Museum: John Patrice Kedze
Chief Officer: The Regional Director (Mrs. Grace Juliet Kokroko)  and Remo Kurka, founder of the ghana-net.com Network (online since December 2000) of Ghana and Africa related websites, agreed to make this new website the official website for the Volta Regional Museum.

A Historic Landmark

The museum building itself is steeped in history. Originally serving as the Office of the Regional House of Chiefs, the structure was later acquired by the Government of Ghana in 1967. Just a few years later, in 1973, the Volta Regional Museum officially opened its doors to the public, becoming a vital institution for cultural preservation and education.

  • The Chair of State once used by the last colonial German governor of the Volta Region
